ZCL is currently recruiting to the role of Quality Assurance Manager to be based in our Edmonton, AB (6907 36th Street) manufacturing facility. This management position offers exceptional opportunities to champion and direct strategic growth within a leading, multi-national company.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the VP Manufacturing, the Quality Assurance Manager will be accountable for developing policies and procedures to strengthen and improve the quality management system.

DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITES

  • Develop a unified quality culture through consistent quality of production amongst manufacturing locations, by developing and enforcing quality processes and procedures
  • Assess customer requirements and ensure expectations are met
  • Specify quality requirements for both raw materials and finished goods
  • Investigating quality escapes (internally and externally)
  • Audit licensees, vendors and manufacturing facilities to ensure compliance to established quality standards
  • Work with operations to establish procedures, systems and standards
  • Writing technical reports for internal and external customers
  • Determine training needs
  • Act as a catalyst for change and improvement in quality performance
  • Record, analyze and distribute statistical information
  • Monitor performance
  • Develop testing methods and capabilities

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science or related field would be an asset
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management role
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in related work experience
  • Experience working with multi-office organization  
  • Has led continuous improvement initiatives
  • A strong leader with the ability to achieve buy-in from team members and guide employees throughout a standardization process
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational skills, with a systematic approach to work
  • Excellent understanding of quality management systems and experience with development of those systems
  • Strong technical skills
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Hold a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel across North America up to 30% of the time
