ZCL is currently recruiting to the role of Project Manager to be based in either our Edmonton, AB (6907-36th Street) or Anaheim, CA (1210 North Tustin Ave) manufacturing facility. THE ROLE

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Project Manager’s primary accountability will be to provide support to sustain efficient management of customer orders throughout the manufacturing process through effective planning, organizing, direction and control of daily Corrosion operations.

DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITES

  • Completes the tracking of project milestones and financial deadlines; creates the project schedule; inputs and updates schedule throughout the project and reviews with the Plant Manager
  • Develops detailed plans and manages the implementation processes outlining resource allocation, progress tracking, and testing, documenting, training and on-time delivery within budget constraints
  • Ensures that corrosion projects are completed within costing guidelines verifying established standards for costs are correct and accurate
  • Ensures that changes in client requirements are communicated to the organization and incorporated into the project plan, bill of materials (BOM’s) and other project documentation via ECN’s or customer format
  • Maintains documentation as per company guidelines, including documenting activities, such as service alerts and inspections, labor hours, expenses and materials
  • Builds and maintains relationships with clients and inspectors in order to maintain a high level of service
  • Assists with the review and processing of invoices and progress claims, and assistance with the review of documents and inquiries
  • Manages the change order process by securing pricing, reviewing, inputting and submission of the data for customer change request approval
  • Prepares purchase requisitions for approval and assists with procurement of materials and equipment when required

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5 years previous experience in managing project based work in the composites or construction industry
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct supervisory experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of 5 years previous experience in FRP composites is an asset
  • Post-secondary education in project management or related coursework is a strong asset
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills including the ability to address employee issues such as employee development, coaching, and performance concerns (e.g. absenteeism, work quality)
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in by Microsoft Office and Primavera 6
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills with the ability to work under minimum direction and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong math and analytical skills combined with the ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings
  • Valid driver’s license, passport and the availability to travel throughout North America up to 30% of the time
