ZCL is currently seeking a Marketing Coordinator to be based in our Edmonton, Alberta (1420 Parsons Rd. SW) Head Office. This specialist position offers an exceptional opportunity to champion and direct strategic growth within an industry-leading, multi-national company.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Coordinator is accountable for planning, executing and evaluating projects according to predetermined timelines and budgets. The incumbent will coordinator marketing activities with a focus on vendor relations, tradeshows, and other marketing projects.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Marketing Material Management

  • Develop and manage the corporate trade show program; including, registration, exhibition space, event expenses, hotel reservations, advertising, equipment requests , tradeshow booths, banners, models, other display material, sponsorship, lead generation, promotional items, tactics
  • Participate in annual trade show planning and budgeting, aligning events and association memberships with marketing campaigns, submit invoices and proposals to the Director Marketing for approval
  • Take ownership of the tradeshow calendar, get input from the sales organization and marketing, organize meetings and provide direction as needed
  • Identify and prioritize which opportunities will maximize tradeshow exposure & ROI as the primary contact for tradeshow vendors, directories and show organizers
  • Contact vendors and conduct competitive assessments of services rendered to evaluate how they are meeting expectations. (Cost, quality, meeting deadlines, providing expertise and value added services)
  • Coordinate the shipment of marketing material; such as, brochures, marketing toolkits, product information sheets, in close collaboration with vendors, sales and marketing, manage inventory levels and reorder as needed through the use of inventory management tools
  • Process incoming training certifications and incoming Spec Call Data sheets sent in by sales representatives and distributors
  • Gather feedback from sales and obtain proper approvals from marketing, order promotional and merchandising items in a timely manner and insure these meet quality and brand standards

Marketing Administration and Collaboration

  • Upload content onto the ZCL Library and insure that the information displayed is current, accurate and brand compliant
  • Work with Sales Support to insure that drawings, designs, specs and other technical documentation are up to date and easily accessible
  • Conduct meetings/training as needed or when major changes occur
  • Assist the Marketing Specialist & Content Specialist in updating ZCL Connect and the Website; including social, and provide feedback on how to improve the process
  • Review data, manage key words and build custom searches based on requests that come in from sales rank high potential/impact leads and share with the sales organization weekly
  • Provide support and take direction from the Research & Insights Analyst
  • Create dashboard reports containing key trends, performance metrics and ROMI
  • Conduct sales training and share best practices as needed
  • Work closely with vendors and sales to maximize the efficiency of lead generation
  • Participate & provide input/recommendations in marketing meetings, other relevant team settings (Be proactive)
  • Support activities and tactics included in marketing plans, marketing calendars, marketing request forms and other tools as needed; Coordinate team meetings and sales planning
  • Provide sales organization feedback, vendor recommendations and association membership insights into the marketing planning and marketing campaign process

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business with a formal marketing background is required; Masters preferred

Marketing Expertise

  • 2 to 5 years of prior relevant experience, preferably in the business-to-business marketing environment
  • 2 years of demonstrated experience managing & executing digital marketing strategies
  • Experience dealing with multi-office regions and offsite employee is an asset
  • Experience in digital marketing and leveraging social media and other technologies within a marketing capacity
  • Experience with Search (SEO, SEM, marketing automation)

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • High proficiency with Microsoft office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, InDesign) an asset
  • Fundamental knowledge in using web analytic tools, experience with CMS and Google Analytics is highly recommended
  • Familiarity with demand generation, lead tracking, ROI; Experience with CMS and CRM platforms will be an asset
  • Able to analyze metrics, produce executive summary reports across internal channels
  • Highly detail-oriented
